Thank you, nice lady!

I would've gotten away with it sooner, if it weren't for those meddling kids!

I envy you and your stubborn fortitude.

[identity profile] chaosvizier.livejournal.com 2007-11-29 08:11 pm (UTC)(link)
You are wise at least not to envy my writing skill. Ain't nothin' there to envy, mate.

End it with a cliff-hanger, and finish it next November.

... and he woke up and it was all a dream.

[identity profile] chaosvizier.livejournal.com 2007-11-30 02:56 am (UTC)(link)
As long as there were boobies in the dream, it was A-O-K.

That's a lot of words for a story about a man's forbidden love of pancakes.

[identity profile] chaosvizier.livejournal.com 2007-11-30 05:25 pm (UTC)(link)
My love for pancakes is nearly boundless and beyond words. Only my craving for bacon is greater and more potent.

[identity profile] impulsezip.livejournal.com 2007-11-30 09:05 pm (UTC)(link)
Congratulations! You did it!

And thanks for all the encouragement along the way!

We need to figure out how to have some sort of online NaNo party. :-)

[identity profile] chaosvizier.livejournal.com 2007-11-30 09:52 pm (UTC)(link)
Congrats to you too! In honor of our as-yet-unconfirmed party, I'm going to have a drink. Wheee!

[identity profile] b-hulsmans.livejournal.com 2007-12-01 11:59 am (UTC)(link)
yay for you!

What's it about?

[identity profile] chaosvizier.livejournal.com 2007-12-10 08:15 pm (UTC)(link)
It's a mind-numbing tale of horror and... well, horror. Actually, the only horror is the writing itself. Heh. The rest of it is me pretending to be Jules Verne, because that's bad-ass.

[identity profile] chaosvizier.livejournal.com 2007-12-10 09:00 pm (UTC)(link)
He does! I love that style of writing, like Verne, and H.G.Wells, and Edgar Rice Burroughs- that overly prosaic victorian era sci-fi style. I always enjoyed those stories, and so this time I tried to write one. It didn't work out ideally, but then again, with a month to play, there's only so much one can accomplish. Still, I felt pretty good about it.
