Oops, lost track of things. So let's finish up this November Meme with the last two entries merged into one, courtesy of [livejournal.com profile] sskipstress and [livejournal.com profile] sskipstress. Convenient, wot wot?

On the one hand, she was curious about my thoughts on presidential pardoning of turkeys.

On the other hand, she wondered what were some of the most useful, most amusing, and utterly useless mnemonics.

In the words of Leroy Jenkins, "Let's do this!"

Frigging turkeys. )

Johnny Mnemonic approves of this thread. )

TL,DR version: If you learn a mnemonic, you'll save the turkey.
First off, a big Happy Birthday shoutout to [livejournal.com profile] sskipstress! She's a wee youngun' turning 42 today. And so she asked me, for today's question, how she should celebrate her 42nd birthday.

Well, let's find out!

Rule One for any party is Just Go Wild. You can't go wrong here. )

This message paid for and approved by Dagon. All hail Dagon.
Ok, this one is a few days late. Sometimes stuff happens. But no matter, the meme must go on! Also, there's still time to get another entry or two in if you're feeling adventurous. Go for broke! Make the pie higher!

Meanwhile, [livejournal.com profile] germankitty goes all historical and proposes that I discuss JFK and whatever legacy he left behind in my opinion.

Dammit, Jim, he's dead. )

TL;DR version: JFK was doing great until someone shot him. Then his presidency suffered a decline.
Is there no end to this madness? All this writing and writing, blah blah blah, it never ends!

On the plus side, I have a great idea for my next LJ project.

On the minus side, I'm really gassy this morning.

And on we go! [livejournal.com profile] trishalynn wants to know what I'd do if I was given $24 million dollars to spend in one 24-hour period any way I wanted, just as long as the money was given to help other people.

TL,DR version: Killing is bad for the most part. Mostly. So do charity. Not killing. Nope.
This is a lot of posts for me. Crazy talk!

And now, the post you've all been waiting for: [livejournal.com profile] angledge told me to write about my plan for world peace.

This is going to be pretty ugly. )

1 True story at work: First, we have those phones with all that fancy caller ID stuff so it shows you the name of the person calling you, or at least their number. In some cases, for generic department lines, maybe just an office name. Second, there is an office on Genocide Investigation and Prevention somewhere in the building. So, when I got a phone call from "Genocide 1", I have to admit, I was a bit nervous.
Oops, this one was for yesterday, but I was out the whole day and passed out at home before using The Internets. So let's catch up and make it good.

[livejournal.com profile] mitchy decided that I should talk about puddings. The best, the worst, the one I can't live without.

Let's do this like a boss. A boss pudding.

I'm going all over the place with this entry. Try to keep up. )

In summary: most puddings are good, unless they're trying to kill you.
Four entries in six days? This is unheard of, wot wot!

Today, [livejournal.com profile] lovellama went old-school and wanted me to review the movie 'Predator'. An Arnold Schwarzenegger movie? YES I CAN.

There is never a wrong time for an Ahnold movie. )

In summary, part two: Billy was the best character. All hail Billy.
Remember, remember, the meme of November!

In today's episode, [livejournal.com profile] i_calql8 inquires about my movie review of 'V for Vendetta'. Tomorrow's episode is still open for discussion, so come on by! Even if you already chose a day, fuck it, take a second day! Be greedy!

In summary: Colliwobbles.
Another day, another blog entry with a special topic/question to be handled. Want me to talk about something specific? There's plenty of chances! Hell, take a second spot, I'm not picky.

Anyway, for today's topic, [livejournal.com profile] bending_sickle thinks I should talk about horror movies: the good, the bad, and the ugly.

This entry will be presented in SPOOOOOOOKYVISION! )

In summary: Don't go to Japan because their ghosts will seriously fuck your shit up, I'm not even kidding.
And so it begins! If you want to contribute a topic, there's still plenty of space and time.

[livejournal.com profile] mitchy asked me to discuss why I do/don't follow any sports.

Hurr hurr, I'm sporting now, if you know what I mean, hurr hurr. )

In summary, I like certain sports for schadenfreude and boners. Thank you and good night.
True, I haven't memed in a while, and I haven't posted anything interesting in a while, and this meme (courtesy of [livejournal.com profile] dubh_ceol) seemed interesting, so here goes...

"Reply to this meme by yelling 'Words!' and I will give you five words that remind me of you. Then post them in your LJ and explain what they mean to you."

Cut because this will probably get TL;DR, although I'll probably still include a funny picture for good measure. )
I think I do this meme once a year, just for kicks, and because I have nothing else to post about. Previous post notwithstanding.

1. Leave me a comment saying, "Interview me."
2. I will respond by asking you 5 questions.
3. Update your LJ with the answers to the questions.
4. Include this offer to interview someone else in the post.
5. When others comment, asking to be interviewed, ask them 5 questions.

And, just because I'm efficient, if you really want to ask me five questions, just do so below! See? Easier than making your own post. Ask!

And here we have answers to other peoples' questions... )

I haven't memed in a while, but I'll admit that this one snagged me with its unusual nature. It's the "Here are the answers, but what are the questions?" meme! Respond if you want to know the questions to the following answers, and then you must in turn post answers in your own journal and make others wonder what the questions are. Let curiosity kill all the cats!

1. [livejournal.com profile] fragbert
2. [livejournal.com profile] angledge and [livejournal.com profile] vulgarbarbarian
3. [livejournal.com profile] drkodos
4. [livejournal.com profile] marasca, [livejournal.com profile] notevenu
5. [livejournal.com profile] the_wanlorn
6. [livejournal.com profile] bad_latin, [livejournal.com profile] duia, [livejournal.com profile] gutbloom
7. [livejournal.com profile] ckirkman
8. [livejournal.com profile] evilfb, [livejournal.com profile] fanboyextream, [livejournal.com profile] bad_latin, [livejournal.com profile] trishalynn, [livejournal.com profile] silent_r_infork, [livejournal.com profile] buzz
9. [livejournal.com profile] spiffington, [livejournal.com profile] cheezdanish
10. [livejournal.com profile] perkyczarlet, [livejournal.com profile] mamajoan
11. No idea. Let's choose a name at random... [livejournal.com profile] not_so_evil_now
12. [livejournal.com profile] renospalace, [livejournal.com profile] shinga, [livejournal.com profile] culturecouture
13. [livejournal.com profile] cleolinda, [livejournal.com profile] cheezdanish
14. [livejournal.com profile] chrysoberyl / [livejournal.com profile] vulgarbarbarian
15. This is a terrible question. [livejournal.com profile] funkyplaid, you lose. Sorry.
16. Probably no one on this list, heh. Ok, maybe [livejournal.com profile] germankitty and [livejournal.com profile] ckirkman and [livejournal.com profile] mamajoan.
17. I should just cut and paste everyone's name in this space. I'll start with... [livejournal.com profile] doomgirl
18. I'll say [livejournal.com profile] vilnolin and [livejournal.com profile] thereject, mostly to be funny.
19. [livejournal.com profile] barbarienne and [livejournal.com profile] malkatsheva
20. [livejournal.com profile] the_5th_element
21. ...I don't even know what this question means, so [livejournal.com profile] xgreenjudasx wins.
22. ...Same as #21, so [livejournal.com profile] halcyon7 wins.
23. [livejournal.com profile] fizrep
24. [livejournal.com profile] angledge
25. [livejournal.com profile] nihilistbear, [livejournal.com profile] deza
26. I'm going to have to honestly say Nobody.
27. This is cheesy. [livejournal.com profile] drlaurac, you win.
28. Let's never ask this question again. Meanwhile, [livejournal.com profile] lovellama, you lose. Badly.
29. Lots of choices... no offense, but [livejournal.com profile] kokopellinelli, [livejournal.com profile] deza, [livejournal.com profile] renospalace... and a few others.
30. Giving in to curiosity will only lead to horror and madness. And possibly gluttony and sloth. Maybe even frivolity. Not carnality. Hopefully no wrath. Shit, I forgot the other deadly sins. But whatever, they're not that important anyway.

So this Johari Window tells me what folks think about me. Which is funny, because, you know, being called "asshole" isn't informative enough. Oddly enough, "asshole" is not an option on the Johari Window. I wonder why.

EDIT: You don't even have to be nice! Use my Nohari Window to tell me about my flaws and failings. Oddly enough, "asshole" is still not an option, but you can have a lot more fun than telling me how awesome I am.

And, in other news, Belgian beer is awesome, The Boondock Saints is a great movie, and I'm a dork. Stories and/or details may be forthcoming, if I'm not too lazy. Fat chance of that, though.

Meme Time!

I suppose this meme is appropriate, since I rarely blog in the first place. And no, I haven't asked anyone any questions, because... well, just because. But go on, knock yourselves out.

"Everyone has things they blog about. Everyone has things they don't blog about. Challenge me out of my comfort zone by telling me something I don't blog about, but you'd like to hear about, and I'll write a post about it. Ask for anything: latest movie watched, last book read, political leanings, thoughts on yaoi, favorite type of underwear, graphic techniques, etc. Repost in your own journal so that we can all learn more about each other."

(Here's a hint: I'm going to be a total wiseass in my answers. Honest, sure. But wiseass. Accept it.)

(Also, the comments are screened right now, but I'll answer all responses in public posts. Never fear.)
Here are the instructions:

1. Leave me a comment saying, "Interview me."
2. l respond by asking you five questions.
3. You update your LJ with the answers to the questions. Include this explanation and an offer to interview others.
4. When others comment asking to be interviewed, you will ask them five questions.

Interviews below! And hell with the rules; just ask five questions below and I'll answer. You don't even have to post this meme. Aren't I efficient? Sure I am! )
Preceding a movie review, a movie meme, stolen from [livejournal.com profile] severus89!

I like movies. The caveat is, I like bad movies. )

This meme stolen from [livejournal.com profile] marasca and [livejournal.com profile] thereject... and I've probably done it once before, but what the hell.

If you read this, if your eyes are passing over this right now, even if we don't speak often, please post a comment with a memory of you and me. It can be anything you want -- good or bad. When you're finished, post this little paragraph on your blog and be surprised (or mortified) about what people remember about you.

(And hell, if you don't have a memory of me, make one up. I'm down with that.)
Hey! Hey you! Want to learn something new about me? Click here for the goods!
